The dream is real But the money's tight My weird dreams Dropping out of sight We made a deal This is a steal Right behind my back Spinning the wheel You can't do it right Round and round The dream is real But the money's tight My weird dreams Dropping out of sight We made a deal This is a steal Right behind my back Spinning the wheel You can't do it right Round and round

Who Cares ¿ 03:21
« Go get it. » Who cares ¿ Who cares About the poor About the mischief That the clowns do Who cares About dignity About humiliation Who cares ¿ Who cares About my city Yeah, it's dirty Yeah, it's dirty Who cares About the ones doing the shit jobs Do you ? There's a light at the end of the tunnel There's a lie at the end of the tunnel I'm a man of my words I got plenty to lose All this I've learned from the worst All this I couldn't choose

I'd sell the house I'd sell the car, yeah Leave-everything-behind-to-find-out-who-you-are-style I'd pack the wife I'd pack the cat, yeah The rest can stay The rest can stay Let burn away my television And throw away my phone Light up my mail Throw away my gloves I'd sell the house I'd sell the car, yeah Leave-everything-behind-to-find-out-who-you-are-style I'd pack the wife I'd pack the cat, yeah The rest can stay The rest can stay Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah

What’s left inside will come out Another day Another way What’s left inside will come out Another way Another day Stomach in knots The 26th of the month Leave me alone now Fuck your shit ’til Monday morning ’Til Monday morning Woke up today feeling so blessed Watch me fuck off, won’t ask my rest Today’s the day, jolly a fuck I’m far away, don’t wish my luck Woke up today feeling so blessed Watch me fuck off, won’t ask my rest Today’s the day, jolly a fuck I’m far away, don’t wish my luck What’s left inside will come out Another day Another way What’s left inside will come out Another way Another day ’Til Monday morning

about

Residents of the Antwerp-based label Cloudshaper (Bombataz, Rare Akuma), the two cousins of run SOFA continue their journey at the junction of post-punk and hip-hop. After the album "FACE IT", released at the peak of the health crisis, the duo formed by Antoine Romeo and Julien Tassin is back in business with the EP "Spinning The Wheel", a real statement of intention, to be shelved between the best productions from BEAK>, Sleaford Mods or Show Me The Body.

Carried by bouncy and ultra radical bass lines, the four new tracks by the band from Charleroi have been captured with the desire to stay as true as possible to their live performance, with its roughnesses, but also its epiphanies. Raw and minimal, run SOFA’s proposal is played without make-believe or compromise. As close as possible to reality and to the disruptions of the modern world, the duo's music attacks the flaws of the system with strength, persistence, but also a good dose of self-deprecation.

The first track from the recording sessions, "Spinning The Wheel" sets the tone and gives its title to the new EP. Open to new possibilities, facing the future, aware of the remaining path left to cover, the band questions our hectic lifestyles. "Who Cares ¿", for example, looks at the plight of those who are left behind. At a time when consumerism pushes us to abandon our moral conscience in favor of material comfort, run SOFA underlines our weaknesses, our alienation from the logic of rampant capitalism. Without ever removing themselves from the equation, the duo puts their sense of humor to the test, so much that one sometimes wonders if it is
really our society that the two cousins are so fiercely scrutinizing and not themselves.

Mastered under the vaults of Motormusic Studios in the company of Laurens Grossen (Whispering Sons, Jakomo, dEUS), mixed by Jim Barr, bassist of the band Portishead and close collaborator of artists such as Perfume Genius or Baxter Dury, run SOFA's new EP sublimates the imperfections in an authentic relationship to creation. A sincere, spontaneous and lively exercise, "Spinning The Wheel" slams like a hammer on a concrete wall: a violent but necessary movement to dismantle preconceived ideas and rebuild an exciting future.
